And lo the end is nigh (part I)

And so I say unto you all my brothers and sisters,

The end is at hand!

That day when fire raineth down from the sky to scorch this frozen land.

Until then, we're stuck in Hades ice-box.

Well a howdy-do to all of you once again. I have to admit that the past several weeks have been wearying.

where to start.

Roughly a week ago, after being thoroughly reprimanded in just what parts of my paper needed, ahem *touching up* (that is almost the entire thing needed to be fixed, the horror! the horror!) I decided that some more work needed to be done on the piece entire.
 
So I cleverly (clever for me anyways) decided that what my paper needed was one more tid-bit from my big source.

The problem being that, he's one devil of a person to get a old of.

So I tried for the better part of a week to get ahold of this guy, then presto, he suddenly starts answering my calls.

We start talking for a while about work and interests...

an hour later, I hung up feeling smart and knowledgable,

thirty seconds later started kicking the wall because I realized that none of the topics we discussed were ones relating to my topic in any real way.

So between finishing other finals and such, I spent much more time trying to find a way to use anything we'd discussed in my paper.

I ended up rewriting the darn thing three times, with many smaller revisions in between.

after draft number three, I read my completed work, and realized it was worse than the piece I'd started with.

so, with much reluctance, I have simply used the piece which was corrected in the first place.

hah....bad day bad day bad day...
