I said I would come back, and so here I am.
Today's communication class entails the importance of accuracy, clarity, completeness and fairness. I find this interesting.
I use the word interesting not in the euphemistic sense which is code word or boring or weird, but rather for the irony.
Being a long-time reader of major news networks and news papers, I have seen exceptions to every one of those rules.
This is not condoning the mistakes of these major networks. It's not even a commentary on the failures of others. I simply find it entertaining to think that these multimillion dollar corporations don't follow the same rules which are placed upon us as students.
Now, to be fair, these mistakes tend to be uncommon enough that spotting them is more of a unique experience instead of an every day occurrence.
Even so, the act of the matter remains that there must be something equally, or more important which pulls at the common reader, besides the matters which are taught in these general rules.
What is the class which teaches about this separate factor called? Is there such a class?
It seems as though there are may such instances in a variety of fields, where some invisible factor is the most important factor in a given career.
Why is it, I wonder, that the most important points or factors in the success of a vocation, field of research or hobby are the ones which are hardest to teach or describe?
There's my rant for the moment.

A deep thinker! Love it -- and I mean that. Sometimes everyone needs to stop to think a little bit about the "invisible factor." Quite frankly, I don't think it is possible to teach when it comes to writing. It has something to do with "feeling" the language, and I don't know anyone who can teach that.
